Greater Lawrence Technical School National Honor Societ
The National Honor Society (NHS) is an organization dedicated to recognizing and encouraging those students who demonstrate excellence not only in the classroom, but asleaders in their schools and communities as well. The
core values of the National Honor Society are: scholarship, leadership, character and service. In part because members must distinguish themselves in all four of these categories, the National Honor Society is one of the most prestigious honor societies in the nation.
Membership in the National Honor Society is an honor bestowed upon deserving students by the faculty and shall be based on the criteria of scholarship, leadership, character and service. Candidates eligible for election to this chapter must be members of the sophomore or junior class. Candidates eligible for selection for membership in this chapter must maintain a 95% attendance history, have a clean discipline record and a minimum grade point averag
Meetings: All chapter members are expected to attend all regularly-scheduled chapter meetings. Meetings of this chapter will be held monthly in accordance we of 3.5.

Benefits: There are many benefits of being a member of the National Honor society. The purpose of the society is to create enthusiasm for scholarship, stimulate a desire to render service, promote leadership, develop character and to encourage citizenship.
