Medical Assisting

  • Our medical assisting program will give you a solid understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, pathology and basic concepts of pharmacology and psychology. You will learn important procedures, such as measuring vital signs, patient education and performing venipuncture (drawing blood). In addition, medical assistants also often help with the administrative tasks of running an office, such as answering phones, making appointments, managing computer data and processing paperwork.

  • Curriculum to Include:

    • Support clinical administration and management
    • Administer therapeutic injections and vaccinations
    • Perform in-house clinical lab testing and lab specimen collection
    • Perform EKGs, spirometry and audiometry
    • Assist physicians with patient care in a variety of in-office procedures
