    Carpentry students will learn the fundamental skills needed to perform as an entry level carpenter in the construction industry.

    Learning Outcomes:

    Identify and demonstrate safe and proper use of basic hand and power tools

    Identify and demonstrate assembly/installation of common building materials and fasteners used for framing as well as interior and exterior finishes

    Demonstrate collaboration and teamwork skills, as well as problem solving strategies

    Carpenter Apprentice

    Carpenter Helper 

    Carpenter's Laborer


    Anticipated Pay Scale: 


    $15 to $21 per hour 


    Training Eligibility Requirements

    High school diploma or HiSet? Yes  High school or GED
    Math grade level (estimate) 6th Grade Measurements and Formulas
    Reading grade level (estimate) 6th Grade Ability to read and understand operator's safety manual
    ELL ok or must be English moderately fluent? ELL Ok   
    Any physical requirements?  IE ability to lift 50 lb, excellent eye sight Yes Ability to lift 50lbs, Able to bend, reach, raise arms and work over head, work from heights & ladders and good eyesight is helpful.
    Clean CORI?  Yes  
    Specific clothing required? Yes Safety glasses, work boots and jeans (no holes, rips, tears)
