Cosmetology students practicing beauty techniques in the Great Looks Today salon at GLTS

Program Description

For students passionate about beauty, creativity, and personal care, the Cosmetology program provides top-tier training and hands-on experience to prepare for a thriving career in the industry. With 1,000 hours of training, students gain the expertise needed to earn their Massachusetts State Board Cosmetology License and pursue careers in hair, skincare, nails, and salon management.

Before using tools and equipment, students complete comprehensive safety training, ensuring they master proper techniques and industry best practices. They then apply their skills in the "Great Looks Today" school salon, working with real clients and gaining professional experience. Additionally, students can earn barbering hours, preparing them for a dual license, and expanding their career opportunities.

Upon graduation, students leave with OSHA 10 certification and have the opportunity to obtain nationally recognized eyelash extension certification, hair extension certification, and the skills needed to succeed in the beauty industry—whether as salon owners, stylists, estheticians, or beauty entrepreneurs.
