Electrical

Two students working on electrical equipment at GLTS

Program Description

The demand for skilled electricians continues to rise, making this field one of the fastest-growing sectors in the construction industry. The Electrical program prepares students for careers in commercial, residential, and industrial electrical work, equipping them with the knowledge and skills necessary for Journeyman and Master Electrician licensing.

Students begin by learning fundamental concepts of electricity, including AC and DC circuits, and progress to advanced wiring techniques and system installations. With a curriculum that blends hands-on training and theoretical instruction, students gain the experience needed for apprenticeships and future business ownership opportunities. Upon completion, students receive documentation of their shop and classroom hours, which can be applied toward apprentice training, paving the way for a successful career in the electrical industry.
