Environmental Science

Environmental Science students conducting fieldwork and research at GLTS

Program Description

As the need for environmental sustainability grows, so do career opportunities in environmental science. This program is ideal for students passionate about alternative energy, environmental cleanup, and sustainable design. Over four years, students develop expertise in freshwater and saltwater aquaculture, aquaponics, laboratory analysis, and sustainability practices.

In their junior and senior years, students focus on sustainable building design, entrepreneurship, and earning industry certifications. They gain hands-on experience using GPS, field instrumentation, and environmental analysis tools to explore the natural world. A strong internship program with industry partners allows students to apply their skills in real-world settings, preparing them for careers in green energy, environmental consulting, conservation, and ecological research.
