Program Description
For students interested in the fast-growing healthcare field, the Health Assisting program provides comprehensive training in patient care, medical technology, and professional development. With a focus on leadership skills, advanced clinical techniques, and hands-on experience, this program equips students for immediate employment or further education in healthcare.
Students begin by mastering patient care fundamentals, including the safe use of medical equipment such as electric beds, wheelchairs, shower chairs, and patient lifts. They then participate in clinical rotations at long-term care facilities, gaining real-world experience in a professional healthcare setting.
Graduates of this program earn multiple industry-recognized certifications, including OSHA, CPR for the Healthcare Provider, First Aid, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), Dementia Care, and Home Health Aide (HHA), positioning them for a variety of healthcare careers.
