Landscape Construction & Sustainable Horticulture

Students working outdoors in landscape construction and horticulture program

Program Description

For students who love the outdoors and have a passion for shaping the environment, the Landscape Construction & Sustainable Horticulture program offers a hands-on path to mastering the art and science of green spaces. From landscape maintenance and turfgrass care to greenhouse operations and floral design, students gain experience in the skills that keep communities beautiful and sustainable.

The journey begins with learning the fundamentals of tool use, job site operations, and plant science. As their expertise grows, students take on campus maintenance projects, manage greenhouse crops, and even create floral arrangements for sale. Opportunities to earn industry certifications, such as the Interlocking Concrete Paver Installer (CPI) credential, provide an edge in the field. Whether pursuing careers in landscape design and contracting or continuing their education in horticulture, graduates leave with the skills and experience to shape the world around them.
