(Rethinking Equity in the Teaching of English Language Learners)
The RETELL initiative represents a commitment to address the persistent gap in academic proficiency experienced by EL students. At the heart of this initiative are training and licensure requirements for SEI Endorsement which can be found here.
WIDA
An English Language Proficiency standards framework developed by the WIDA consortium and composed of five standards that represent the social, instructional, and academic language, that students need to engage with peers, educators, and the curriculum at school.
