Through the collaborative efforts of teachers, CTE teachers, instructional coaches, school counselors, school adjustment counselors, and administrators, we build a support network to meet every student’s needs.
Purpose of a Student Support Team (SST):
The purpose of a Student Support Team is to collaborate with educators, administrators, and families to ensure that every student has access to the academic, behavioral, social, and emotional support they need to succeed. By identifying and addressing barriers to learning, the SST creates a proactive and responsive framework for intervention, fostering an inclusive environment where all students can thrive. This includes monitoring student progress, providing individualized interventions, promoting positive behaviors, and connecting students with internal and external resources to enhance their overall well-being and achievement.
The Importance of Stakeholder Collaboration and Fidelity in Intervention Implementation
Having all stakeholders at the table for a Student Support Team (SST) ensures that diverse perspectives are considered when identifying student needs and developing comprehensive, targeted interventions. Collaborating with educators, families, and support staff while implementing interventions with fidelity helps create a cohesive support system that maximizes student success and effectively addresses their unique challenges.
- Implementing interventions with fidelity means consistently following the planned strategies and protocols to ensure they are delivered as intended, without modifications that could compromise their effectiveness.
- Progress monitoring involves regularly tracking and assessing student performance to evaluate the success of interventions and make data-driven adjustments as needed to support continuous improvement.
