Welcome to the Greater Lawrence Technical School's Student and Family Engagement (SAFE) Office! We're here to support students and families, working together to create a safe, positive, and successful learning environment for every student. We believe that strong partnerships between home and school are essential for student growth and achievement.

The SAFE Office is your central resource for navigating student life at GLTS. We address a wide range of areas, all focused on fostering a supportive and productive school experience:

Our Focus Areas

  • Student Well-being: We champion a safe and inclusive school climate where every student feels supported. We address student concerns, promote positive behavior, and provide resources for social-emotional learning.

  • Discipline & Conduct: We work to maintain a respectful and orderly learning environment by upholding the school's code of conduct and providing restorative approaches to discipline. Our goal is to help students learn from their mistakes and make positive choices.

  • Attendance Matters: We understand that regular attendance is crucial for academic success. We work with students and families to address attendance concerns and promote consistent engagement in learning.

  • Uniform Support: We assist families with understanding and adhering to the school's uniform policy, ensuring that all students are dressed for success.

  • School Safety: The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. We implement safety protocols, collaborate with local authorities, and provide resources to ensure a secure learning environment.

  • Family Engagement: We believe that families are our most important partners. We strive to build strong relationships with parents and guardians, providing resources, communication channels, and opportunities for involvement in the GLTS community. We're here to bridge the gap between home and school, working together to support your student's success.

Supporting Our Diverse Community

We recognize the rich diversity of our community and are committed to providing support to all families. We offer translation services and have dedicated parent liaisons available to assist families who speak languages other than English. Our liaisons can help with communication, navigating school systems, and connecting with resources. Se habla español.

Our Commitment

We are committed to working collaboratively with students, families, and staff to create a positive and supportive school community where every student can thrive. We believe that by working together, we can empower our students to reach their full potential.
