Basic Solar Installation & Electrical Training

Introduction to HVAC
250-hour training + 2 hrs weekly online.
Trainees will learn the fundamental skills needed to perform as an entry level technician in the HVAC and Refrigeration trade. Topics covered include: hand and power tools, identification & use of hazardous HVAC chemicals, skill development in joining pipe by both brazing and mechanical connections, installing manifold gauges and performing diagnostic testing.
Introduction to Automotive Technology
300-hour training + 4 hrs weekly online.
Focus will be on practical training in the following areas: shop safety, review of hand & power tools and equipment, basic vehicle electrical safety, introduction to vehicle diagnostics & to brakes, basic vehicle maintenance, introduction to the auto business – accountability, quality and how mechanics are paid. Theory will be covered also; students will work on donated and customer vehicles in the shop.
Introduction to Auto Collision
300-hour training + 4 hrs weekly online.
This course will teach safety in the auto body repair shop and the technical knowledge and skills to be ready for an entry level position as an auto collision repair technician. Topics include fasteners & vehicle construction, non-structural repair, metal straightening, plastic & composite repair, refinishing, and cleaning and detailing. I-CAR PRO-Level I Non-Structural Technician and I-CAR PRO-Level I Refinish Technician certificates.
Advanced Manufacturing for Multi-lingual Learners
320-hour training + 4 hrs weekly online.
Prepare to work as a CNC Machine Operator through a fast-paced training focused on metrology and inspection skills, blueprint reading, basic machining shop operations and maintenance on conventional and CNC lathes and mills.
Medical Assistant Training
300-hour training + 2 days/wk clinical internship.
Training will prepare students for the National Health careers Association Medical Assisting exam. Certifications include OSHA 10 safety and CPR/BLS. Clinical internship placement with Beth Israel Lahey or GLFHC.
