Introduction to Welding

Oct 6 – Mar 11 | Mon–Thu 5:30–8:30 PM
300-hour training + 4 hrs weekly online.

Trainees will learn MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), and Stick (SMAW) welding, as well as oxy-acetylene cutting. Basic shop math and basic blueprint reading will be covered. Weld process training will help trainees master different weld styles. Students will obtain their OSHA 10 and Hotworks certificates.

Introduction to Construction

Oct 6 – Mar 11 | Mon–Thu 4:00–8:00 PM
300-hour training

Students will learn the fundamental carpentry skills needed for an entry level position on a new residential or commercial new construction or renovation site. Course covers use of hand and power tools, assembly installation of common materials and fasteners in framing, plus interior & exterior finishes. OSHA 10 + other certifications.

Automotive Technology students

Introduction to Automotive Technology

Oct 6 – Mar 11 | Mon–Thu 4:00–8:00 PM
300-hour training + 2 hrs weekly online.

Focus will be on practical training in the following areas: shop safety, review of hand & power tools and equipment, basic vehicle electrical safety, introduction to vehicle diagnostics & to brakes, basic vehicle maintenance, introduction to the auto business – accountability, quality and how mechanics are paid. Theory will be covered also; students will work on donated and customer vehicles in the shop.
