Monday–Thursday 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
All courses include technical theory and practical skill building, employability skill workshops and assistance with job placement. The following courses will be offered Summer 2026:
Facilities Maintenance Training
June 22 – Aug 13 | Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–4:00 PM250-hour training.
This course prepares participants for careers in facility maintenance by teaching essential skills in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems. Through a combination of hands-on practice and theory, students learn to troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance. The program also includes job readiness support and industry-recognized certifications.
Introduction to Plumbing
June 22 – Aug 13 | Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–4:00 PM250-hour training.
This course introduces basic plumbing tools, materials, and fixtures. Topics include standard tools, materials, and fixtures used in commercial and residential plumbing systems. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the basics of a plumbing system.
Introduction to Electrical
June 22 – Aug 13 | Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–4:00 PM250-hour training.
Learn the skills required for an entry level position in the electrical industry, such as safe use of hand and power tools, installation of electrical boxes, conductors, raceways and controls. Students will learn about the electrical code, how to read electrical prints and symbols, and how to become an electrical apprentice.
Introduction to HVAC
June 22 – Aug 13 | Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–4:00 PM250-hour training.
Trainees will learn the fundamental skills needed to perform as an entry level technician in the HVAC and Refrigeration trade. Topics covered include: hand and power tools, identification & use of hazardous HVAC chemicals, skill development in joining pipe by both brazing and mechanical connections, installing manifold gauges and performing diagnostic testing.
Automotive Technology
June 22 – Aug 13 | Mon–Thu 8:00 AM–4:00 PM250-hour training.
Focus will be on practical training in the following areas: shop safety, review of hand & power tools and equipment, basic vehicle electrical safety, introduction to vehicle diagnostics & brakes, basic vehicle maintenance, introduction to the auto business – accountability, quality and how mechanics are paid. Theory will be covered also; students will work on donated and customer vehicles in the shop.
